Known also as coir pith, coir fiber pith and coir dust, Coco peat is extracted from the coconut husk. Following a processing of the husk, the long fibers are removed to obtain the coco peat. Coco peat absorbs large quantities of water and is used as a fertilizer for plant cultivation, replacing the traditional peat in soil mixes.
